Read More...EMORY, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Football Team (2-0) picked up its first shutout since the 2002 season Saturday afternoon as the Wasps downed the Pride of Greensboro College, 38-0, at Fred Selfe Stadium. The last time E&H held an opponent scoreless was in a 10-0 victory over Guilford on Nov. 16, 2002. Former Emory & Henry head football coach Lou Wacker was also honored at halftime of the contest.

   

Emory & Henry Football Routs Ferrum

EMORY, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Football Team (1-0) took advantage of four Ferrum College (0-1) turnovers to defeat the visiting Panthers, 41-12, in the 2011 season opener for both squads. It was also Hall of Fame Day for E&H, as the Wasps honored the 2011 class of inductees to the Emory & Henry Sports Hall of Fame.

The Emory & Henry College Football Team has been picked to finish fifth in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference by the league's seven head coaches, ODAC officials announced.

   

Cobra Errors Costly In Wasps Late Rally

The Wasps faced the Cobras from Virginia Intermont in a single game on Monday afternoon. In an exciting game of homeruns and a 13 run comeback, the Wasps defeated the Cobras 14-13.

   

Wasps Rally To Split With Wildcats

The Wasps hosted ODAC foe Randolph College in a doubleheader on Sunday afternoon. Emory and Henry dropped the first game, 11-2 but rallied early in the second game to defeat the Wildcats, 9-7.

   

Emory & Henry Men Fall To Randolph College

The Wasps of Emory & Henry might have beat the snow out of town, but they couldn’t find a way to beat the Wildcats of Randolph College in men’s basketball action Saturday afternoon.  The Wasps led by two at the half in a game that saw numerous lead changes, but in the end lost 65-59 to the host Wildcats.
