BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Radford ended a 29-game losing streak away from home (3 neutral) with a 58-54 victory over Gardner-Webb in Big South men’s basketball action Thursday evening at Paul Porter Arena.
Trailing 52-50 after a Tyler Strange 3-pointer with 3:07 left, the Highlanders closed on an 8-2 run, highlighted by six points from freshman Javonte Green.
After missing a pair of free throws that could’ve evened the score, Green knocked down a long jumper off a Blake Smith offensive rebound and came away with a steal that led to a dunk on the next possession to put Radford up for good.
