KNOXVILLE, TN - Roanoke Track and Field standout Carmen Graves took the nation's top time in the 800 meter race on Saturday April, 14.
Carmen Graves competed at the prestigious Sea Ray Relays, hosted by University of Tennessee. In her spring debut 800M race, Graves ran in the featured “Showcase 800M Race,” which included several top ranked Division I runners and professional athletes. Graves placed 8th overall and ran a personal best time of 2:08.5, breaking her previous set school and ODAC record of 2:10. She now sits atop of the 800M ranking in DIII by over a second and a half.
The Maroons return to ODAC competition with the league's championships at Lynchburg College on April 20th and 21st. The contest is scheduled to begin at 3:00 PM.
