Henderson Named New Blacksburg Girls Hoops Coach |

Blacksburg stayed within, as it promoted Roger Henderson from assistant coach to head coach of the Lady Bruins basketball program.
Henderson replaces 20-year veteran Mickey McGuigan, who resigned in May. Henderson, who has been an assistant at Blacksburg for the last three seasons, also coached at Christiansburg, Giles and Roanoke Catholic. The Lady Bruins, who finished 19-9 last season, made it all the way to the Group AA Division IV quarterfinals and will return several key players this year, including Mallory Jones.
