Friday Night Stars - Week 7

Friday Night Stars is a regular feature, which will appear every week here at Valley Sports Now. We will take a look at the heroes and other interesting tidbits from the previous Friday night high school football games from around the area.

East Mont’s James Fields completed 21-of-32 passes for 294 yards and two touchdowns in the Mustangs 42-21 loss to Radford.

Floyd County’s Dorian Harris rushed for 345 yards on 22 carries and four TDs in leading the Buffaloes to a 41-37 win over Glenvar.

Fort Chiswell’s Brett Mabry completed 15-of-20 passes for 212 yards and three TDs, as the Pioneers stunned Galax, 37-36.

Radford’s Hunter Marshall passed for 120 yards and two touchdowns on an 11 for 19 evening. He also ran for two more scores, as the Bobcats defeated East Mont 42-21.

Rockbridge County’s Porter Abell ran for 171 yards and a touchdown, plus completed 5-of-9 passes for 163 yards in leading the Wildcats to a 38-17 win over Staunton River.

Christiansburg’s Joey Augustin rushed for 157 yards on 21 carries and two TDs in the Blue Demons 17-14 loss to Pulaski County.

Glenvar’s Levi Mullins completed 11-of-19 passes for 153 yards and a pair of TDs in the Highlanders 41-37 loss to Floyd County.

East Mont’s Ron Ford hauled in 10 catches for 182 yards and two TDs in the Mustangs 42-21 loss to Radford.

Rockbridge’s Colton Wilson hauled in four passes for 104 yards and also intercepted two passes in the Wildcats 38-17 win over Staunton River.

Radford’s R.J. Jordan ran for 116 yards and a TD in the Bobcats 42-21 win against East Mont.

Fort Chiswell’s Daniel Hamm rushed for 185 yards on 16 carries and three TDs in the Pioneers 37-36 win against Galax.

Floyd County’s Matt Bary completed 5-of-9 passes for 125 yards and two TDs in leading the Buffaloes to a 41-37 win over Glenvar.

Parry McCluer’s Ryheem Dawson rushed for 153 yards on 27 carries and a pair of TDs in the Fighting Blues 34-28 win over Craig County.

Galax’s Donte Peoples ran for 218 yards on 39 carries and three touchdowns in the Maroon Tide’s 37-36 loss to Fort Chiswell.

North Cross’ Max Revercomb completed 11-of-24 passes for 131 yards in the Raiders 27-13 win against St. Anne’s-Belfield.

Galax’s Chris Poole completed 3-of-6 passes for 131 yards and two TDs in the Maroon Tide’s 37-36 loss to Fort Chiswell.

Parry McCluer’s Josh Gunter ran for 102 yards on 17 carries in the Blues 34-28 win over Craig County.

North Cross’ Evan Anderson rushed for 142 yards and two TDs in the Raiders 27-13 win against St. Anne’s-Belfield.

Giles’ Ian Mann ran for 127 yards on five carries and three TDs in the Spartans 56-14 win over Auburn.

Auburn’s Justin Craft rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries in the Eagles 56-14 loss to Giles.

Cave Spring’s Connor Baker completed 14-of-21 passes for 186 yards and two TDs in the Knights 28-21 loss to Salem.

William Byrd’s Zac Hill rushed for 151 yards on 23 carries and three TDs in the Terriers 29-22 OT win against Lord Botetourt.

Franklin County’s Jaylyn Gill ran for 120 yards on 21 carries and three TDs in the Eagles 54-14 win over William Fleming.

Patrick Henry’s David Prince rushed for 136 yards on 18 carries in the Patriots 29-26 loss to GW Danville.

Carroll County's Connor Lundy completed 16-of-34 passes for 248 yards and two TDs in the Cavs 49-28 loss to Abingdon.
