The Montgomery County Post 59 Junior American Legion Baseball Team will sponsor a Law Enforcement Warm-Up Slow Pitch Softball Tournament This Saturday and Sunday, July 28-29, at Kiwanis Park in Christiansburg.

Montgomery County Post 59 closed out its first Junior American Legion season Friday night by sweeping Alleghany 8-2 and 11-6 at Christiansburg High School.

Defensive woes continue to haunt Montgomery County Post 59, as they were blanked by Vinton, 10-0, Monday evening in Junior American Legion baseball action in Moneta. The game was called after five innings due to the 10-run mercy rule.

Montgomery County Post 59 opened its Junior American Legion baseball season Saturday by splitting a doubleheader with Alleghany Post 4 at Alleghany High School. Post 59 dropped the first game 4-0 before coming back to win the second game 5-0.
