Christiansburg, the only undefeated team, plays once-beaten Appomattox at 8 p.m. tonight in the semifinals, while Salem plays Brunswick at 6 p.m. in an elimination game.
Christiansburg Whips Brunswick
Christiansburg scored five runs in the third and nine in the sixth in cruising to an easy 19-2 win over previously unbeaten Brunswick Sunday night.
Zalen Akers led Christiansburg with four hits, including a homer and three doubles, along with seven RBIs. MJ Hunter and Reagan Harris tallied three hits apiece, while Evan Robins and Garrett Kucham added two hits each.
Christiansburg Hammers South Hill
Christiansburg scored seven runs in the fourth and four more in the sixth in running away with a 14-4 win over host South Hill Saturday evening.
MJ Hunter led Christiansburg with a perfect 4-for-4. Jason Duffie and Reagan Harris recorded three hits each, while Brady Kirtner and Zalen Akers added two hits apiece.
Christiansburg Pounds Salem
Christiansburg jumped out to an early lead in claiming a 12-3 victory over Salem.
Christiansburg, who held a 4-0 lead in the top of the first Friday night, saw the game being suspended because of rain. When play resumed Saturday morning, Christiansburg continued to pull away for the win.
