Louisiana Rallies for Walk-off Win Over Alabama

CHRISTIANSBURG, VA – On the brink of elimination, Monroe, Louisiana rallied for three runs in the bottom of the seventh to eliminate Phenix City, Alabama 10-9 at Harkrader Sports Complex during the 2010 Dixie Boys World Series.

  
Will Daniels singled home Seth Christian with the winning run just after Christian had double home two runs to tie the score.
 
Alabama took the lead thanks to a six run fourth inning, highlighted by Christian Wiggs three-run home run.  Trevor Davis added a solo home run in the six for the second of his two hits on the evening.
 
Cade Harper of Louisiana hit his third home run of the tournament in the third inning with a pair on to give Louisiana an early lead.
 
Quin Graves picked up the victory for Louisiana, who moves to the final four where they will face Brunswick County, North Carolina, the only undefeated team remaining in the tournament.
 
Wiggs took the loss.
