The Radford Rookies U-9 USSSA baseball team won the championship trophy of the Batter's Box Stampede tournment held this past weekend at the Harkrader Sports Complex in Christiansburg.

The Rookies, who are in their first season of playing together, came back after losing a game on Saturday to survive the elimination bracket on Sunday to win their first championship.
