The second game against the Davidson County Cougars was tied at the end of regulation forcing an international tie breaker.  Morgan Decker scored from 2nd with key bunts from Amber Smith and Laura Leonard.  In the bottom of the inning, Extreme Force pitcher Bailey Grubb caught the DC runner in between 2nd and 3rd making a throw to the 3rd baseman Laura Leonard who ran down the runner for a key out.  Extreme Force shortstop Alaina Crockett capped off a superb fielding game by making the final out catching a popup. Bailey Grubb picked up the 3-2 win in the circle striking out six, while allowing three hits.

The Force faced the Carolina Attitude in the third game of the day.  The Force started out strong with a single from Morgan Decker scoring Morgan Stanley in the first inning.  The Force then picked up three more runs in the top of 3rd starting off with a double to left by Bailey Grubb followed by three consecutive doubles by Laura Leonard, Haley Green and Alaina Crockett.  The Attitude then made a comeback in the bottom of the 3rd scoring five runs to tie the game.  Bailey Grubb then came in in relief to pick up three key outs with runners on 2nd and 3rd.  Madison Via then drew a walk in the top of the 4th to reach base.  She then stole 2nd base and was then advanced to 3rd with a sacrifice bunt by Morgan Stanley.  She then scored the go ahead run on a passed ball.  Bailey Grubb started off the bottom of the 4th by striking out the first batter.  The second batter then popped out to 2nd.  Then a double a walk and a single loaded the bases for the Attitude.  Force 2nd baseman Morgan Stanley then made a diving save throwing from her knees to throw out the final runner at first to preserve the win and allow the Force to advance to the Championship Game of the Gold bracket.

The Force faced the Blue Ridge Explosion, a second year 14U team from Tennessee in the championship game.  The Force played hard but could not overcome the superb pitching from the Explosion who used four different pitchers in the championship.  The Force finally scratched a run in the 4th inning when Amber Smith reached on a error and was then driven in by a double by Laura Leonard.  Michelle Kembel added a single for the Force in the 5th inning.

The Force finished the weekend going 3-1 taking 2nd place in the gold bracket of the tournament.  The 14U Virginia Extreme Force team is comprised of players from Northside, Glenvar, Cave Spring and Botetourt.
