In a Southwest Virginia Swim League meet held Thursday evening in Blacksburg, the Shawnee Swim Club swam to a 2856-1181 victory over Blacksburg Aquatic Center.
Triple winners for Shawnee were Patrick Reilly in the boys 7-8, swam the 25-meter free (18.70), the 25-meter breast (25.72) and the 100-meter IM (1:47.11), Julia Lattimer in the girls 9-10, posted a time of 36.88 in the 50-meter free, the 50-meter breast and 100-yard IM with a time of 1:32.31, Robert Hodge in the boys 9-10, swam the 50-meter free (33.67), the 50-meter breast (46.15) and the 100-meter IM (1:25.32), Cammie Seeley in the girls 11-12, posted a time of 30.81 in the 50-meter free, 45.52 in the 50-meter breast and the 100-meter IM in a time of 1:19.03, Erin Whitesell in the girls 13-14, notched a time of 35.02 in the 50-meter free, 50-meter breast with a time of 46.21 and 100-meter IM in a time of 1:24.03, Jeffrey Smith in the boys 13-14, swam the 50-meter free (31.80), the 50-meter breast (42.21) and the 100-meter IM (1:24.30), Shawn Hash in the boys 40-49, swam the 50-meter free (28.94), the 50-yard breast (41.47) and the 100-meter IM (1:18.72), Jay Newman in the boys 50-over, recorded a time of 36.10 in the 50-meter free, the 50-meter breast in a time of 45.98 and the 100-meter IM with a time of 1:41.36.
Double winners for Shawnee included Megan Anderson in the girls 6-under, finished the 25-meter free (23.95) and the 25-meter back (27.76), Jack Nussbaum in the boys six-under, swam the 25-meter free (27.52) and the 25-meter breast (38.15), Daniel Burdisso in the boys 11-12, swam the 50-meter free (34.37) and the 100-meter IM (1:31.56), Brenda Nguyen in the girls 15-19, swam the 50-meter free (32.61) and 50-meter breast (44.25), Andrew Flack in the boys 15-19, swam the 50-meter free (28.84) and the 50-meter breast (41.55) and Kathy Reilly in the girls 40-49, swam the 50-meter free (32.96) and the 100-meter IM (1:24.67).
Also finishing first for Shawnee were Norrin Bortz in the girls 7-8, swam the 25-meter free (19.97), Audrey Link in the girls 7-8, swam the 25-meter breast (29.21) and the 100-yard IM (2:03.78), Sam Sterling in the boys 11-12, swam the 50-meter breast (47.88), Sarah Abbott in the girls 20-29, swam the 50-meter breast (45.83), Sarah Mathes in the girls 40-49, swam the 50-meter breast (46.01), Sam Reilly in the boys six-under, swam the 25-meter back in a time of 30.48, Julia Lattimer in the girls 9-10, swam the 100-meter IM (1:32.31), Lilly Potts in the girls 15-19 100-meter IM (1:26.45), Nancy Anderson in the girls 30-39 100-meter IM (1:31.16) and Conner Hicks in the boys 100-meter IM (1:21.73).
Blacksburg Aquatic Center was led by Brett Gombar in the boys 30-39, who swam the 50-meter free (28.39), the 50-meter breast (41.08), and the 100-meter IM (1:13.55), Kara Moser in the girls 20-29, who swam the 50-meter free (33:52) and 100-meter IM (1:25.91), Monica Semtner in the girls 30-39, who swam the 50-meter free ( 35.34) and the 50-meter breast (48.03), Billy Newcomb in the boys 20-29, who finished the 50-meter free in a time of 27.46 and the 50 meter breast (36.59), and Trevor Jamerson in the boys 20-29, posted a time of 1:08.76 in the 100-meter IM.
