As the 2012 regular season swiftly approaches, the Pulaski Mariners are gearing up for another exciting season at historic Calfee Park. Fans and the local community can help the Mariners during their 2012 season by participating in the “Adopt-a-Mariner” program.

Last Friday at the Pulaski Country Club was a jam-packed, fun-filled day of golf, silent auctions, food, and chances to interact with standout athletes with roots in Southwest Virginia. Billy Wagner and Shayne Graham were on hand throughout most of the morning to promote the Second Chance Learning Center (SCLC) charity and to meet-and-greet with participants in the morning and throughout the early afternoon.

With the first annual Billy Wagner's Second Chance Learning Center (SCLC) Charity Golf Tournament fast approaching, the Mariners continue to make progress on securing the day as one to remember! The tournament will take place, starting at 8:00 a.m., on April 20th at the Pulaski Country Club and the proceeds will be donated to the SCLC.

The Pulaski Mariners are excited to announce that they will be holding the first annual Billy Wagner’s Second Chance Learning Center Charity Golf Tournament. The event will take place on Friday, April 20th at the Pulaski Country Club and the proceeds will be donated to the Second Chance Learning Center, a foundation founded by former Major League pitcher Billy Wagner.

As their season steadily approaches, the Pulaski Mariners are excited to announce their coaching staff for the 2012 season. The staff will feature familiar faces for the upcoming season, as the club welcomes back manager Jose Moreno for his second stint in the same position. Also on the staff will be pitching coach Nasusel Cabrera and hitting coach Rafael Santo Domingo, both of whom return to their respective positions.

Two games were remaining on the schedule when the Pulaski Mariners and the Kingsport Mets hit the field for Friday night’s game at Calfee Park. There may have been high school football going on, but that didn’t stop 721 fans from coming out to witness Jordy Lara put on an offensive showcase. Lara dropped two long homeruns to both left and right field that were a big part of the Mariners 12-4 win.
