Pulaski’s four run eighth inning was not enough to overcome the White Sox, as they lost 8-4 Sunday afternoon at Historic Calfee Park.
Bristol (9-21) got off to a hot start thanks to leadoff man Kale Kisser who tripled for the first hit of the game. Taking a two run lead into the bottom of the first, White Sox SP Todd Kibby cruised through the Pulaski (12-19) lineup for seven innings allowing four hits, no walks, no runs, and struck eight batters.
After 93 pitches, Jose Brito relieved Kibby to start off the bottom of the eighth. However, The pitching change was exactly what the M’s needed as they managed to load the bases with no outs (Marlette 1B, Castillo BB, Palase BB). A slumping Bryan Brito stepped to the plate only to break out in style as he smashed a line drive into left-center resulting in a bases clearing triple. Next batter Brock Hebert kept the rally going by knocking in Brito with a sharp single to right field brining Pulaski within one run, 5-4.
Unfortunately for the M’s, their 8th inning offensive burst was not enough to surpass Bristol, as they lost 8-4 in the third game of a five game series.
Come support the team tonight, as they try to even the series with the White Sox, 7 p.m., at Calfee Park.
