Michael McGuire hit the track at Martinsville Speedway on Wednesday October 3rd in preparation for the Virginia is for Racing Lovers 300 slated for Sunday, October 21st.
Michael and the team spent the day working out the bugs in their Late Model Stock Car. With the majority of the season spent on their K&N Pro Series East efforts, this was the first time their Late Model car had seen the track in 2012.
With each practice session, the team made gains on the handling of the racecar and were pleased with the results at the end of the day.
“We made the car more comfortable each time out”. Michael explained. “Our focus has been on the K&N car all year, but it is nice to come to Martinsville and try to get our equipment in condition to make this event”.
The team will bring the Wood’s Towing and Transportation, Black’s Tire Service Chevrolet Impala back to the track in two weeks to try and make the 42 car starting field for the biggest Late Model Stock Car race in the nation.
