Wythe Raceway Opens 43rd Season

Rural Retreat - Wythe Raceway opened it’s 43rd racing season Saturday Night with a full card of racing action and an all new event that seen it’s first ever action at the High Banked Clay Oval.

 

"O" What a "Show"

Rural Retreat - On a historical Saturday night for Wythe Raceway. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series made their first ever visit to the half mile clay oval and Jimmy Owens of Newport, TN. stole the show by winning the main event and the $10,000.00 first place prize. Chris Wall, Holden, LA. paced the 44 car Lucas Oil field in qualifying with a quick time of 16.823.

   

Baggerly, Keith Victorious At Wythe Raceway

Fans of dirt track racing were treated to another night of intense racing action Saturday night at Wythe Raceway. Daniel Baggerly, Rural Retreat, Mike Keith, Rural Retreat, Michael Davis, Atkins,  Jerry Dillow, Blue Well WV., Duke Bare, Meadowview, and Anissa Widener,  Abingdon, all were victorious in their respective classes.

   

Keith Wins Number Nine At Wythe Raceway

Wythe Raceway  continues to give race fans some exciting dirt racing action during its 40th racing season.  Saturday fans were treated to five classes of cars on the half mile high banked clay oval.

   

Keith, Davis Win At Wythe Raceway

The FASTRAK Touring Late Model Series invaded Wythe County for the second time during the 2009 racing season Saturday at Wythe Raceway. Forty-one Pro Late Model drivers from across the Southeast pulled into Wythe Raceway looking to go home with the $3000 first  prize. 

   

Wythe Raceway To Host 'Southern Nationals Series' Tonight

The O'Reilly Southern Nationals Series features 10 events in the span of 13 days, with race held in Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee. The fifth season for the Southeast tour begins Monday, July 13 at Wythe Raceway with a $3,500-to-win show for Super Late Models at the monster half-mile speedplant.

   

Topham Dominates at Wythe

The Fourth of July always brings the promise of Fireworks and celebration as our Nation turns another year older. While there was no fireworks in the sky at Wythe Raceway there were plenty on the track as Wythe Raceway introduced a new format of racing designed to keep the racers on their toes and the fans on their feet. Each class would race a 30 lap feature, but this would be broken into two segments. The leader at the end of the first segment would then pull their car to the start finish line and roll a die to determine their starting spot for the final segment.
