The three-part Freak Out at Fallon Cyclocross Race Series will begin at Fallon Park on Saturday, Oct. 8, at 10 a.m.On-site registration is available beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Kids ages 10 to 17 race for free, and adults race for $20. Participants will be placed in beginner, intermediate, and expert categories.

Cyclocross is an up and coming sport that features a multi-terrain, off-road course with many challenges that force participants to dismount and navigate obstacles while shouldering their bikes. The course at Fallon Park is Halloween themed and has several elevation and terrain changes, so participants and spectators can expect a morning of heart pumping action.

The race series continues on Oct. 15 and 22. The last race is part of the Roanoke Outdoor Circus and Virginia Cyclo-cross Race Series.

Participants can register for all three races for the reduced rate of $50. This quality outdoor recreation program is possible through a partnership with Starlight Bicycles.
