Northside Boys, Lord Botetourt Girls Finish Second At Knights Crossing

Both the Northside boys and Lord Botetourt girls finished second in the Black Race of the 7th Annual Knights Crossing Saturday at Green Hill Park in Salem. The Black Race included the smaller and private schools. Chancellor finished first on the boys side, while Turner Ashby claimed the girls title.
 
 BOYS
 
Chancellor placed three runners in the Top 15, as the claimed the boys title over second place finisher Northside, 53-71.
 
Rustburg finished third with 118 points, followed by Lynchburg Christian Academy (155) and Turner Ashby (156) to round out the Top 5 teams. Salem was sixth (169), James River was ninth (232), North Cross was tenth (242), Glenvar was 13th (341) and Staunton River was 14th (391).

 GIRLS
 
 Turner Ashby landed three runners in the Top 10, as they won the girls title over second place finisher Lord Botetourt, 60-73.
 
 Lynchburg Christian Academy was third with 105 points, followed by Salem (110) and Peaks View Pacers (119) to round out the Top 5 teams. Glenvar was sixth with 130 points, followed by James River in eighth (203) and William Byrd in ninth (219).
