Lord Botetourt jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, as the Cavaliers rode away with 62-41 win over William Byrd in Blue Ridge District girls' basketball action Friday night Daleville.

The Cavaliers (9-3, 1-0 BRD) raced out to a 34-15 halftime lead and continued to roll in the second half, claiming the 62-41 win.

Jessica Dawson led William Byrd with 14 points.

Emily Wampler led Lord Botetourt with a game-high 15 points total. Meghan Catron  scored 14 points and Jade Lewis finished with 10 points.
