Jade Lewis recorded her 1,000th career-point, as she helped lead Lord Botetourt to a 72-33 Blue Ridge District girls' basketball win over William Byrd Wednesday night in Vinton.
The Cavaliers (15-3, 6-0 BRD) rode out to a commanding 42-20 halftime lead. Lord Botetourt continued to hold the upper-hand in the second half, outscoring the Terriers (5-12, 3-3 BRD) 30-13 to run away with the easy 39-point win.
Kamera Hagins paced William Byrd with eight points.
Meaghan Catron led Lord Botetourt with a game-high 20 points. Emily Wampler tossed in 14 points, Kendra Wood scored 13 points and Jade Lewis finished with 11 points.
