Lord Botetourt held Rockbridge county to a single-point in the opening quarter, as the Cavaliers rode away with a 58-38 win to remain perfect in Blue Ridge District girls' basketball action Friday night in Daleville.
The Cavaliers (16-3, 7-0 BRD) took a 14-1 lead after the opening quarter and increased their advantage to 27-12 at the break. Lord Botetourt continued to control the tempo in the second half to claim the victory.
Lauren Rowsey paced Rockbridge (5-13, 1-6 BRD) with 15 points and Chelsea Padgett scored 11 points.
Emily Wampler and Jade Lewis led Lord Botetourt with 15 and 14 points, respectively.
