Jefferson Forest used a strong second quarter to earn a 55-47 non-district boys' basketball win over Lord Botetourt Tuesday night in Forest.
Lord Botetourt (8-14) staked out to a 14-8 lead after the opening quarter. Jefferson Forest (8-12) rallied back in the second quarter to take a 30-22 advantage at the break. Jefferson Forest methodically pulled away in the second half to earn the eight-point win.
Justin Goode led Lord Botetourt with a game high 17 points and Dustin Hassell finished with 10 points.
Tyler Lucy paced Jefferson Forest with 15 points. Jake Johnston tossed in 12 points and Jason Stafford added 10 points.
