Emma Wade scored four goals in leading Northside to a 5-3 win over William Byrd in the semifinals of the Blue Ridge District girls soccer tournament Wednesday night.

Connor Martz's goal in the final minute propelled Northside to a 2-1 win over William Byrd in the openng round of the Blue Ridge District boys soccer tournament Monday night in Vinton.

Jeremy Ragland nailed a grand-slam and drove in five runs to help lead Northside to a 13-1 Blue Ridge District baseball win over Lord Botetourt Tuesday afternoon. The game was called after five innings due to the 10-run rule.

Daniel Brammer hurled a three-hitter in helping lead Northside to a 2-0 Blue Ridge District baseball win over Rockbridge County Thursday afternoon.

Northside continued Blue Ridge District play at Lord Botetourt in a game that had two very nervous teams playing. Northside committed three errors and Lord Botetourt committed four errors, as neither team seemed comfortable in this game being played for first place. However, in the end, the Vikings won 10-7.

Northside’s game can be summed up in 2 words – Taylor Carter. The center fielder for the Vikings made three top ten ESPN catches keeping runs off the scoreboard for William Byrd, as Northside claimed  6-2 Blue Ridge District softball win Wednesday afternoon.
