Northside saw its 15-game regular season winning streak come to an end Friday night, as host Amherst ran away with a 32-6 win in non-district football action.

The Vikings (0-1) lone score came on a 1-yard touchdown plunge by Isaiah Kelso in the second quarter.

Northside, who had 108 yards of total offense (33 passing, 55 rushing). Kelso led the way with 24 yards on eight carries and a TD.

The Lancers (1-0), who lost 20-14 in last year's game, racked up 428 yards of total offense, with 395 of those yards coming on the ground. Sidney Sandidge rushed for 178 yards on eight carries and two TDs, while Marquis Brown ran for 170 yards on 12 attempts and two TDs.
