It all came down to the No. 3 doubles match, as Northside picked up its first win of the season with a 5-4 victory over Glenvar in non-district boys tennis action Tuesday afternoon in Salem.

With the match tied at 4-4, the Vikings (1-4) #3 doubles team of Max Vaughan and Jeffrey Camper won by an 8-3 score.

Other Northside winners included No. 1 singles Ryan Hartman, 8-8 (7-3); No. 4 singles Thomas Elliott won 9-7, No. 6 singles Michael Hackworth won 8-1. In doubles, the No. 2 team of Ryan Humphreys and Elliott won 8-6.
