Northside rallied in the fifth and deciding set, as they outlasted Blacksburg 25-20, 23-25, 25-22, 7-25 and 15-12 in non-district volleyball action Thursday night in Roanoke.

Caitlyn Porterfield led the Vikings (4-6) with 18 assists and four aces, Erin Thompson had 13 kills and three blocks, while Samantha Nguyen posted 22 digs.

Abby Pennington led the Bruins with 18 kills and 11 blocks, while Lindsey Henderson added 30 assists.
