Northside held Cave Spring to just four points in the second quarter, as the Vikings cruised to a 60-43 non-district girls' basketball win Friday in the final day of the Knights Winter Classic being contested at Cave Spring High School.

The Vikings (4-5) jumped out to a 20-9 lead after the opening quarter and extended their advantage to a commanding 45-13 halftime advantage. Northside upped its lead to 56-19 after three quarters of action. he Knights (0-11) outscored the Vikings 21-7 in the final quarter, as Northside easily claimed the 23-point win.

Hailey Sitze led Cave Spring with 11 points and Zanebia Brown-Saunders finished with 10 points.

Melanie Merziyan led Northside with a game-high 19 points, including a trio of 3-pointers. Emily Rawlings, Alexis Shepherd and Carla Anderson all toseed in 10 points apiece.
