Rockbridge County took an early lead and never looked back, as the Wildcats pounded James River 67-35 in non-district boy's basketball action Saturday night in Buchanan.
The Wildcats (6-0) clawed their way out to a 20-6 first quarter lead and by the time the half rolloed around, held a comfortable 38-17 advantage. Rockbridge continued to dominate throughout the final two quarters to claim the 32-point road win.
Andrew Rowesy led Rockbridge County with a game-high 23 points and Cody Williams contributed 18 points.
J.T. Sandidge led James River (2-5) with 14 points.
