Playing in its first Blue Ridge District boy's basketball tournament in several years, Rockbridge County made themselves feel at home, as the Wildcats claimed a 49-37 win over Northside in the championship game Friday night in Lexington.
The Wildcats (22-2), who led 30-21 at the half, methodically pulled away in the second half to claim the 12-point win.
Todd Dunbar led Northside with 10 points and Todd Crowder added 10 points.
Javon Cress led Rockbridge County with a game-high 20 points and Andrew Rowsey finished with 17 points.
