In a battle of county rivals, Staunton River claimed a 24-26, 25-20, 25-15 and 30-28 non-district win over Liberty Tuesday night in Moneta.

Jill Ferguson led the Golden Eagles (3-9) with 21 digs. Jewell McRoy had 19 assists and four aces, Lauren Mitchell tallied seven kills and six digs, while Moria Guzi finished with eight kills.

Kiki Jones led Liberty (1-10) with 38 assists and seven digs.
