Staunton River held Northside to a mere five points in the first half, as the Golden Eagles claimed a lopsided 66-27 Blue Ridge District girls' basketball win Friday night in Roanoke.
The Golden Eagles (11-7, 6-1 BRD) flew out to a commanding 31-5 halftime lead and continued to dominate in the final two quarters to claim the 39-point road win.
Shaneshia Robinson led Staunton River with a game-high19 points. Jodi Salyer scored 18 points and Kassie Hoag had 10 points.
Taylor Carter paced Northside with 12 points.
