Staunton River turned up the pressure in the second half, as the Golden Eagles pulled away for 47-39 Blue Ridge District girls' basketball win over William Byrd Thursday night in Moneta.
The Terriers (6-14, 4-5 BRD), who led 18-12 at the break, saw the Golden Eagles (12-8, 7-2) go on a 35-21 run in the second half to came back and claim the eight-point win.
Kamera Hagins paced William Byrd with a game-high 14 points and Alexis Ratliff scored 11 points.
Shaniesha Robinson led Staunton River with 10 points, while Danielle Holdren added eight points and 12 rebounds.
