Lord Botetourt will be looking to win its sixth title, as the 7th Annual Lady Terriers Christmas Classic gets underway this afternoon at William Byrd High School in Vinton.

Teams competing in this year's tournament include Salem, Northside, Heritage, Lord Botetourt, Cave Spring, host William Byrd, Brookville and Staunton River.

Action starts at 2:30 p.m.on Monday, when Salem meets Northside. Heritage will play Lord Botetourt at 4:15 p.m., followed by Cave Spring against host William Byrd at 6 p.m. and Brookville tangles witha Staunton River in the final game of the day, at approximately 7:45 p.m.

Second round games are Tuesday. Loser’s bracket games will be played at 2:30 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. and winner’s bracket games are at 6 p.m. and 7:45 p.m.

The championship game is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 30, at 7:45 p.m. There will be a third place game at 6 p.m., a fifth place game at 4:15 p.m., and a seventh place game at 2:30 p.m.

A six-member All-Tournament team will be selected on the final day of the tournament, with the top vote getter being named the MVP.

Admission is $5 per game.
