David Culicerto, William Byrd's head boys basketball coach, announced Tuesday morning that he will be retiring from coaching after 10 years at the Terriers helm.

Culicerto, 57. who has led William Byd to three Region III appearances in the last four seasons, will remain at the school as a world history teacher.

The Terriers ended their season Monday night in the opening round of the Region III, Division 4 tournament with a 51-45 loss. William Byrd finished 8-12 this season.
