William Byrd handed Hidden Valley its first girl's dual meet loss since 2007, as the Terriers won 90-80. Meanwhile, the Titan boys won 123-42 in a dual swim meet Monday night.
First place finishes for William Byrd included Girls' 200 Medley Relay (Kali Edsall, Annie Lane, Kacy Edsall, Mackenzie Lingle); Kali Edsall 200 Free and 50 Free; Kacy Edsall 100 Fly and 100 Back; Mackenzie Lingle 100 Free; Drew Viperman 500 Free; Brittany Ritter 500 Free and Girls' 200 Free Relay (Annie Lane, Kacy Edsall, Mackenzie Lingle, Kali Edsall).
"Last night was a great opportunity for swimmers on both teams to really get up and race," said William Byrd coach Krista Martin. "We knew Hidden Valley was going to be one of our biggest competitors this season. Several races came right down to the finish. I'm really proud of our swimmers. They really put forth their best effort and we had several best times.”
William Byrd's next meet will be on Monday, when they host Northside at the Gator Center. The meet starts at 8 p.m.
