William Byrd held on down the stretch, as they claimed a 54-51 non-district girl's basketball win over winless Cave Spring Friday night in Roanoke.

This one was nip-and-tuck all the way, as the Terriers (2-3) came up big in the final minutes to escape with the three-point win.

Kamera Hagins led William Byrd with 15 points.

Hailey Sitze paced Cave Spring with 15 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Jourdan Markey tossed in 11 points and Cassi Peroulis contributed 10 points.
