Liberty turned up the heat in the second half, as the Minutemen turned an 11-point halftime deficit, into a 60-53 non-district girls' basketball win over William Byrd Wednesday night in Vinton.

The Terriers (3-9), who led 27-16 at the break, were outscored 44-26 in the second half, as the Minutemen (4-7) marched back for the 60-53 win.

Alexis Ratliff led Wm. Byrd with a game-high 19 points. Maggie Self tossed in 12 points and Jessica Dawson added 11 points.
