George Wythe jumped out to an early lead, as the Maroons cruised to a 45-28 non-district girls basketball win over Fort Chiswell Friday night in Wytheville.

The Maroons, who led 20-2 after the initial quarter, methodically pull away the rest of the way in claiming the win.

Sarah Whisman led the Pioneers with 15 points.

Kristen Atwell led George Wythe a game-high 18 points and Kiana Ransome finished with 10 points.
