After a sluggish start, George Wythe got hot in the second half, as the Maroons claimed a 50-32 non-district boys' basketball win over Giles Saturday afternoon in the 5th Annual Chance Harman Classic played at Floyd County High School.

The Maroons, who led 16-12 at the half, outscored the Spartans 16-8 in the third quarter and 18-12 in the fourth quarter to earn the 18-point win.

Kyle Chafin paced Giles with seven points.

Hardy Lester led George Wythe with a game-high 13 points and six rebounds. Isaac Balthazar added 10 points.
