Bland County defeated Mathews 5-1 in the Group A Girls Tennis State semifinals Friday afternoon at Radford University as part of the 2010 Spring Jubilee.

Bland County had no problems in dismissing Bath County, 5-0, in the championship match of the Region C girls team tennis championships Thursday at Grayson County High School in Indepence.

Bland County's Grace Sarver and Kirby Mustard claimed the Region C girls double title Wednesday afternoon at Grayson County High School, as they defeated Radford's Casey Wojtera and Hannah Cooley, 6-0, 6-2.

Grace Sarver of Bland County won the Region C girls singles crown, as she defeated Amelia Walters of Bath County Tuesday afternoon at Grayson County High School in Independence.

Bland County continued to dominate the girls tennis scene in the Mountain Empire District, as they won the team title Wednesday afternoon with a 5-2 decision over Grayson County at Wytheville Community College.

Bland County captured the Mountain Empire District boys tennis championship Wednesday afternoon at Fort Chiswell High School, as they blanked Galax, 5-0.

Bland County made the trip to Galax Thursday afternoon and returned home with a 9-0 Mountain Empire District girls tennis win over the Maroon Tide.
