Grace Sarver of Bland County won the Region C girls singles crown, as she defeated Amelia Walters of Bath County Tuesday afternoon at Grayson County High School in Independence.

In the singles semifinals. Sarver defeated Carley Frye (George Wythe) 6-0, 6-0, while Bath County's Walters stunned Casey Wojtera of Radford, 6-4, 6-1.

In the singles championship, Sarver defeated Walters, 6-0, 6-0

In the doubles semifinals, Sarver and Kirby Mustard (Bland County) defeated Carley Frye and Chloe Willis (George Wythe) 6-0, 6-0, while Radford's Casey Wojtera and Hannah Cooley defeated Walters and Jennifer Gutting (Bath County) 6-4, 7-5

The team semifinals will be held today starting at 9 a.m. Bland County takes on Radford, while George Wythe meets Bath County.

The doubles championship between Wojtera/Cooley (Radford) and Sarver and Mustard (Bland County) will start at 1 p.m.
