Bland County defeated Mathews 5-1 in the Group A Girls Tennis State semifinals Friday afternoon at Radford University as part of the 2010 Spring Jubilee.

The Bears posted singles victories at positions 1, 2, 3, 4.
 
In doubles action, Grace Sarver and Kirby Mustard posted a 6-1, 6-0, victory over Jennifer Ratliff and Morgan Sears to secure the match.
 
Mathews lone singles victory came from Alyson Collins, who defeated Rebecca Havens, 6-3, 6-0.
 
Bland County will face Gate City in Saturday's Group A Girls Tennis Championship at 9:00 a.m. Gate City advanced to the finals with a 5-0 victory over George Mason.
