Fort Chiswell scored early and often, as the Pioneers cruised to a lopsided 23-1 non-district baseball win over Oak Hill Monday afternoon in Max Meadows. The game was called after five innings due to the slaughter rule.
Levi Mooney led the Pioneers (7-0) offensive attack with four hits, five runs scored and four RBIs. Coelman Thomas had three hits with five runs scored and two RBIs.
Tye Kirby picked up the win on the mound. He allowed no hits, walked two and struck out six in hurling three scoreless innings.
Oak Hill fell to 0-2.
