In a Mountain Empire District baseball encounter, Fort Chiswell blanked Bland County 6-0 Friday afternoon in Max Meadows.

Josh Underwood led the Pioneers (12-1, 4-1 MED) with a 2-for-4 showing, including three RBIs and a run scored.

Darren Roberts picked up the win on the mound. He gave up no runs on five hits, walking two and striking out seven in going the distance.

Jacob Lambert led the Bears (2-7, 0-3 MED) with a 3-for-3 effort.
