Bobcats Fall To Pioneers

fort-chiswell-pioneers-logoSarah Whisman knocked down a game-high 26 points, as she helped lead Fort Chiswell to a 55-43 non-district girls' basketball win over Radford in the Perry Coe Shootout at George Wythe High School Wednesday night.

The Bobcats (0-7) took an early 12-10 lead after one quarter, only to see the Pioneers (3-5) reverse the score in the second quarter to tie the game at 22-22. Fort Chiswell started to pull away in the third quarter, as they took a 37-32 advantage into the fourth quarter. The Pioneers outscored Radford 18-11 in the final quarter to keep the Bobcats winless.

Amber Chrisley added 11 points for Fort Chiswell, while Taylor Mooney tossed in 10 points.

Kayla Carter and Hannah-Kait Facemire led Radford with 12 and 10 points respectively.
