Fort Chiswell used a strong fourth quarter to pull away for an 84-73 non-district boys' basketball win over George Wythe Monday night in Wytheville.
With the game knotted at 40-all at the break, the Maroons (12-5) pulled out to a 59-54 lead heading into the final quarter. The Pioneers (13-4) outscored their hosts 30-14 in the fourth quarter to pull away for the nine-point road win.
Nathaniel Worrell led Fort Chiswell with 26 points. Corey Gravely scored 16 points, Cory Mabry added 15 point and Brett Mabry contributed 10.
Isaac Baltazar paced George Wythe with 23 points. Jalen France tossed in 15 points, and Myron Wynn and Rhodes Klein added 12 points each.
