Galax had three players to score in double-figures, as they handed Carroll County its second loss of the season by a 76-59 margin in non-district boys action Friday night in Galax.

The Maroon Tide (2-0) jumped out to a 13 -7 first quarter lead and increased their advantage to 32-20 at the break. The Cavaliers (0-2) outscored their hosts 22-18 in the third quarter, but still trailed 50-42 heading into the final quarter. Galax would pull away in the fourth quarter, as they claimed the 76-59 win.

Tyler Reavis and Brandon Noonkester led Carroll County with 12 points apiece.

Justin Hash led Galax with a game-high 25 points. Deion George had 18 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists, while Bryan Martin finished with 10 points.
