The Piedmont District baseball championship game between Tunstall and Bassett was canceled Friday night because of rain and lightning. Both teams have been declared tournament co-champions.

Tunstall (20-1) and Bassett (7-13-1) advanced to Region IV tournament play regardless of the game's outcome. Tunstall will host Carroll County at 6 p.m. Tuesday, while Bassett visits Salem for a 6 p.m. game at Salem's Kiwanis Field.
