Behind another strong pitching performance from Jailyn Ford, Bath County defeated Holston, 3-0, to win the Group A Division I Softball State Championship Saturday morning at Virginia Tech as part of the 2011 Spring Jubilee.

On the heels of a one-hit, 13 strikeout performance Friday, Ford allowed just two hits, while fanning 15 Holston batters today.

Amanda Shifflett and Jessica O’Connor led Holston offensively with a pair of hits each.
