James River picked up its first win of the season, as they defeated Floyd County, 7-2, in a non-district baseball game played Saturday evening in Buchanan.

Tyler Duke led the Knights (1-3) with a 2-for-4 effort at the plate, including double and three RBIs. Ryan Hepler added two RBIs, while Ben Austin had two hits.

Jaret White pitched four innings to get the win for James River, while Tyler Duke earned the save with three strong innings.
