Haley Baker scored two goals in helping lead the Knights to a 7-1 non-district girls soccer win over the Mountaineers Wednesday night.
James River ladies played very well dominating ball possession for most of the game, connecting on passes, and taking over 30 shots throughout the game. Haley Baker started off the scoring for the Knights with a goal in the first five minutes assisted by Kendall Moyer.
Heather Reynolds led the team in assists, connecting with Baker and Collette Ward, and had one unassisted goal of her own.
Hannah Alleman scored for Alleghany with 21:33 left in the second half off of an assist by Rhawny Leach.
Alleghany goal keeper Emily DePriest had 22 saves for the Mountaineers.
